Recording

Start or add to an audio recording. Notes will be synchronized to the audio for use in playback.
  Record
  • Start and Pause audio recording
  • Recording volume is shown to the right while recording

    1. From the list of Notes, slide your finger to the left on a Note. You will see a Delete button appear.



    2. On the Info screen (click on from the Notes list) there is a Delete button.


    Note Sharing

    iTunes File Sharing - see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094

    1. Plug your iPad/iPhone into your computer and start iTunes.
    2. In iTunes, click on your iPhone/iPad in the left hand column.
    3. Then click on the Apps tab and scroll to the bottom.
    4. AudioNote should show up under File Sharing, and clicking on it should give you a list of notes.
    5. Save the note you want to your desktop.
    6. On a mac, you can open the note and play back the audio with TextEdit, or right-click the note in the Finder and say "Show Package Contents" to access the .CAF audio files directly. On Windows, the note will show up as a directory containing one or more .CAF audio files.

    Transfer notes from the LITE version to the full version:

    1. Plug your iPad/iPhone into your computer and start iTunes.
    2. In iTunes, click on your iPad/iPhone in the left hand column.
    3. Then click on the Apps tab and scroll to the bottom.
    4. AudioNote and AudioNote Lite should show up under File Sharing
    5. Click on AudioNote Lite and then save all your notes to the desktop.
    6. Then click on AudioNote and Add all the notes that were saved.

    To transfer notes from the Mac to your iPhone / iPad:

    1. Plug your iPad/iPhone into your computer and start iTunes.
    2. In iTunes, click on your iPhone/iPad in the left hand column.
    3. Then click on the Apps tab and scroll to the bottom.
    4. AudioNote should show up under File Sharing, and clicking on it should give you a list of notes.
    5. Hit the "Add" button and selected the AudioNote file you want to add.
    6. You may need to restart AudioNote on the iPhone/iPad for it to see the new note. To do this, double tap the home button to display the list of recent apps. Touch and hold AudioNote until the quit button appears, then tap it to quit AudioNote. (This will become unnecessary after the next update of the iPhone version of AudioNote)
    7. The next time you start AudioNote, the new note should appear in your list of notes.

    To transfer notes from your iPhone / iPad to your Mac:

    1. Plug your iPad/iPhone into your computer and start iTunes.
    2. In iTunes, click on your iPhone/iPad in the left hand column.
    3. Then click on the Apps tab and scroll to the bottom.
    4. AudioNote should show up under File Sharing, and clicking on it should give you a list of notes.
    5. Save the note you want to your desktop.
    6. Drag the .RTFD file onto the Mac AudioNote application, or open AudioNote and open the note from the File menu. (The next update of AudioNote for the iPhone will make these files double-clickable).

    1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu
    2. Select the 'Sound' Panel
    3. Select the 'Input' Tab
    4. Pick a Microphone
